- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to improve the language competences of students and achieve B1 level according to CEFR. The course involves units 1 - 4. After successful accomplishing AJP_1 course, the student will be able to understand phrases and common vocabulary relating to areas of his/her immediate needs (i.e. personal information, information about the family, shopping, local geography, employment). He/she can understand the meaning of short, clear news and announcements. He/She can read short simple texts and look up specific, expected information in text encountered on an everyday basis.

- He/She can understand a basic text about everyday life of people. He/She can get the main point in short, clear, basic messages and announcements. He/She can discuss what to do, where to go with other people, and make arrangements to meet. He/She can describe past activities and experiences. He/She can write about aspects of his/her everyday life in basic phrases and sentences.

Final Test 70 % (0 – 70 points) and semester exam 30% (0-30). The final test requires the B1- level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points (from both parts of tests).

- Teacher's information
- Seminars will be pre-recorded and saved in the VSTE IS where it will be available, students will be able to play them anytime. The remaining part will take place in real time, when the students will discuss the relevant topic / problem with the teacher via MS Teams.
Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory for full-time students to achieve a 70 % attendance rate in the course of a semester.
