- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is the acquisition of professional language skills in business and management, including grammar rules. The scope of the productive and receptive skills is in accordance with the descriptor B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. After the successful completion of the course, the student gets an overview of the most popular forms of grammar and phraseology applicable in everyday and professional situations. The student is able to describe the main essence of the idea or the problem; talk professionally on the given topics; communicate and can take an opinion on the given matter. The student uses the professionally focused vocabulary to express (with only a little hesitation and using the periphrastic forms) his/her opinion within the scale of the given economic topics. The student is able to maintain the discussion on the current topics and to apply his/her knowledge in practice.

- Student - has a professional vocabulary in the framework of the given topics - is able to describe professional situation related to their field of study and express their opinions withing the discussed topics - is able to prepare and understand a presentation on a given professional topic - is able to look up information in professional texts within the studied topics

- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subject in a semester.
