The student has the essential knowledge of English language at the level A1 and is able to perform basic communication skills based on the elementary knowledge of the language.

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The target of the course AED_2 is to extend the basic skills necessary for the common communication in the studied language. After the successful completion of the course, the students gain the following skills:

- acquire the efficient vocabulary needed for the oral and written communication in daily situations within the well known situations and usual topics
-understand short texts concerning the given topics
- can find the particular and predictable information in these texts
- apply other grammar
- enhance English phonetical knowledge
The students are prepared to gradually achieve the fixed output level of A1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in their productive and receptive skills at the end of the semester. The range of the set topics - units 7-12 of the required literature.

Exam conditions
The final test is to be taken at the end of the semester and the oral presentation is given according to the schedule of individual teacher. The assessment cooresponds to the percentual ratio of assessment methods (oral presentation is a maximum 20 points, the tests is for a maximum of 80 points, the minum score for a pass is 70% which is 70 points from both parts).The students are to fulfil the tasks from the teacher obtained either personally or via the IS.
