The student has the essential knowledge of English language at the level A1 and is able to perform basic communication skills based on the elementary knowledge of the language. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- The target of the course AED_2 is to extend the basic skills necessary for the common communication in the studied language. After the successful completion of the course, the students gain the following skills:
- acquire the efficient vocabulary needed for the oral and written communication in daily situations within the well known situations and usual topics
-understand short texts concerning the given topics
- can find the particular and predictable information in these texts
- apply other grammar
- enhance English phonetical knowledge
The students are prepared to gradually achieve the fixed output level of A1+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages in their productive and receptive skills at the end of the semester. The range of the set topics - units 4-5 of the required literature. - Syllabus

Presentation 20 % - Exam conditions
- To write two tests - a mid-term test and a final test - and present one oral presentation. Test 1 is written in the first half of the semester, test 2 at the end of the semester. The oral presentation is held in accordance with the schedule set by the teacher of the course. The score corresponds to the percentage ratio of assessment methods (the oral speech maximum of 20 points, test 1 maximum of 40 points and test 2 maximum of 40 points, maximum of all three parts 100 points). For the successful completion of the course, the students have to achieve at least 70%, or 70 points from all parts.
