- The aim of the subject is mastering theoretical knowledge about interpersonal communication and learning to apply it in model situation. After successful completing of the subject students are able to define basic terms of social communication (communication process, communication channels, message). They are able to explain main elements of rhetorical skills ( voice care, pronunciation, voice and verbal dynamics). They are able to identify used methods of verbal and non-verbal communication in practice and explain the nature of communication skills with regards to the context of their application in different fields of human activity. They can also assess the purpose of particular communication strategies in interpersonal relations, to distinguish manipulative and non-manipulative (assertive) ways of behaviour in group and pair communication. They are able to name assertive techniques of behaviour, to compare pros and cons of manipulative and non-manipulative behaviour in professional context and also in social relations in general. They are able to evaluate the importance of media communication and their impact on the consciousness and behavioour of a consumer.

- 4. Nonverbal communication (facial expression, visual communication, gesture, haptics and posturology).
- 5. Nonverbal communication (proxemics, kinesics, communications appearance and behavior).
- 6. Communication in the enterprise.
- 7. Managerial communication, interview.
- 8. Staff meetings and team communication.
- 9. Negotiation and communication with the customer.
- 10. Empathy, active listening and building relationships.
- 11. Assertiveness.

- Grading of the course: Seminar Work: maximum 30% (0-30 points), Final Test: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0. NOTE: Activity on the ongoing tasks assigned by the teacher during the semester is mandatory.
