Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The subject deals with the basics of education, pedagogical terminology, systematizes and interprets basic pedagogical phenomena and regularities. It also provides basic information about the theoretical foundations of pedagogy.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the course, the student
- clarify the relationship between pedagogical science and theory;
- knows the historical context of the development of pedagogy;
- can carry out pedagogical research and its analysis;
- can explain the concepts of functional literacy/illiteracy, alternative and innovative education and social inequalities.

Exam conditions
In order to successfully complete the subject, it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the final assessment under the conditions set out below. A total of 100 points can be obtained in the final assessment, i.e. 100%. Overall classification of the subject, i.e. points for the final assessment (100 – 0): A 100 – 90, B 89.99 – 84, C 83.99 – 77, D 76.99 – 73, E 72.99 – 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0.
