- The course deals with the basics of education, pedagogical terminology, systematizes and interprets basic pedagogical phenomena and laws. It also provides basic information on the theoretical foundations of pedagogy.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the learner
- will clarify the relationship between pedagogical science and theory;
- knows the historical context of the development of pedagogy;
- know how to conduct pedagogical research and its analysis;
- can explain the concepts of functional literacy/illiteracy, alternative and innovative education and social inequalities. - Syllabus
- 1. Historical context of the development of pedagogy as a science.
- 2. Traditional and modern pedagogy. Contemporary theories of education.
- 3. Educational process, education as a process of humanization.
- 4. Heredity, innateness and the development of intelligence.

- 7. The current school system.

Overall course classification, i.e. points for the final assessment (100 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0.
