- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of organization and management of railway transport technology. Students will learn the historical development of this field of transport, its position in the transport system, characteristics. Furthermore, they will learn the basic regulations for organizing and managing rail transport, the management of local and network transport processes and the basic element of rail transport management - the train traffic chart. The student is able to use the legislative knowledge in organizing railway transport after completing the course, to create an offer of transport service in the form of timetable construction.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is able to use the principles of the creation of a scheduling timetable, the basic principles of determining the capacity of the railway infrastructure, the function of the transport regulations and the tariffs in the railway transport.

- The exam consists of a written part. At the same time, students must prepare and submit specific assignments during the semester. Total classification of the course, i.e. points from the exam (70 - 0) + points from the continuous evaluation (30 - 0): A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.

- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
