- The course is offered to students of any study field.

- The subject deals with the basics of education, pedagogical terminology, systematizes and interprets basic pedagogical phenomena and regularities. It also provides basic information about the theoretical foundations of pedagogy.
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully completing the course, the student
- clarify the relationship between pedagogical science and theory;
- knows the historical context of the development of pedagogy;
- can carry out pedagogical research and its analysis;
- can explain the concepts of functional literacy/illiteracy, alternative and innovative education and social inequalities. - Syllabus

- 3. Educational process, education as a process of humanization.

- In order to successfully complete the subject, it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the final assessment under the conditions set out below. A total of 100 points can be obtained in the final assessment, i.e. 100%. Overall classification of the subject, i.e. points for the final assessment (100 – 0): A 100 – 90, B 89.99 – 84, C 83.99 – 77, D 76.99 – 73, E 72.99 – 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0.
