The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to create an optimized design of a given object of civic amenities (administration, services, education, health care, culture,…), agriculture or industry, including the layout for the purpose and the design of a suitable structural system of the support system. The proposal will be based on current knowledge in the field of sustainable construction. An integral part of the project is the study of the interaction between the landscape and the urban environment. The text and drawing part will be processed using computer technology.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is able to:
- design an architectural solution for a given type of building;
- design design and technical solutions;
- prepare project documentation according to valid regulations.

Exam conditions
The work is assigned and coordinated by the subject guarantor. The project according to the type of assignment and specialization is consulted in advance by the teachers of the Department of Civil Engineering VŠTE. In the development stages, the studio project is demonstrated at presentations (critiques) and evaluated according to predetermined criteria.

- Originality, innovation and idea (0-15 points)

- Graphic level of the drawings and level of the text part (0-10 points)

- Content quality of the project (0-50 points)

- Poster (presentation panel) and final defense (0-10 points)

- Final defense (critique) (0-5 points)

- Active approach and consultation during the semester (0-10 points)

The total point gain (total for the project, consultation, presentation and availability) can be a maximum of 100.

Subject evaluation:

100-70 points = counted

69-0 points = not counted
