- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The course objective is to present the basics of a scientific paper and their application for the preparation of the diploma thesis. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to process a selected topic using their own professional skills and knowledge, professional literature, and internal materials of companies; they will be able to formulate the conclusions and defend them.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course the student:
• can develop theoretical principles into practical issues, • with the use of theoretical foundations and processed research can process the application part of the diploma thesis,
• knows the methods of implementation of scientific methods for the problem,
• learn the principles of processing the experimental part of the diploma thesis,
• is capable of independent creative and research activities,
• can define, solve and evaluate research questions, hypotheses,
• learn the methods of collecting primary and secondary information,
• can specify the benefits and novelty of solving the problem,
• can present and defend a qualification thesis. - Syllabus
- Seminars:
- 1. Summary of requirements for a diploma thesis, its format and extent. Specification of the basic characteristics of a diploma thesis. Topics and their structuring.
- 2. Completion of a theoretical part of a diploma thesis.
- 3. Experimental research.
- 4. Evaluation of the data of the research related to the assignment of the diploma thesis.
- 5-15. Ongoing consultations depending on the needs and requirements of the supervisor or consultant of the diploma thesis. Analysis of student performance, interview analysis of their presentation, ongoing comment on the text of the thesis.

- Submitting the diploma thesis in accordance with the schedule in a given semester. Credit is obtained upon successful meeting of the following conditions: compliance with the schedule of the diploma thesis, attendance in consultations with the supervisor, preparation of the thesis according to the predefined structure, positive evaluation obtained from the supervisor, recommendation for defence.
