Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is the acquisition of the professionaly focused language skills and knowledge in the field of civil engineering and construction management. The productive and receptive skills are in accordance with the descriptor of B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, including the grammatical rules. After the successful completion of the course, the student masters the language skills in order to: - describe in an efficient way the main essence of the idea or the problem; - talk professionally about the given topics. The student is able to communicate and can take an opinion on the given matter. - The student uses the professionally focused vocabulary to express (with only a little hesitation and using the periphrastic forms) his/her opinion within the scale of the given economic topics. - The student is able to maintain the discussion on the current topics and to apply his/her knowledge in practice.

Dams and their significance 6. Construction traffic - preparation and construction 7. Connection to the land engineering networks and communications and technical equipment of buildings 8. Assessment Methods and Assesment Rate
Exam – oral 30 %
Test – final 70 %
Exam conditions
It is supposed to write one final test and to get at least 70% of 70 points. Up to 30 points, it can be obtained from the oral presentation / the oral examination. The maximum number of points from both parts is 100. For the successful completion of the course, it must be obtained the minimum of 70 points, or 70%. The grading scale for the final test: fulfilled 70 to 49 points, the possibility to retake the test: 48 to 21 points, failed (unable to retake: 20-0, below 30%). The overall classification: It necessary to get at least 70 points (total of the test and the oral exam) in order to obtain credits.
