Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Supplementation of knowledge of mathematics at the level of required introductory mathematics courses.
Syllabus
  • Adjustment of algebraic expressions, working with compound fractions and exponential expressions. Using of basic algebraic relations for adjustments
  • Solving equations and inequalities, absolute value, solving irrational equations
  • Solving systems of linear equations
  • Solving quadratic equations
  • Solving exponential and logarithmic equations, logarithms work
  • Trigonometric functions and their properties, trigonometric equations
  • Angular linear function, inverse function
  • Polynomial functions and their properties, the root of the polynomial, and Horner's finding rational roots of polynomials
  • Graph representation of all basic functions and its modifications
  • The term limits of functions, simple applications
  • Derivative product and share functions and derivative of a composite function
  • Derivative function and its geometrical meaning, the tangent
  • The importance of derivative functions for determining their properties
