Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course objective is to deepen the student knowledge to the level corresponding to B1 according to the Common European Referrence Frame for language, as well as the further development of communication skills and to unify the knowledge of all students in the course to achieve the B1 level. Emphasis is put on the development of dialogic competencies, understanding the written language, and communication skills related to the ability to have a conversation on a general topic.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students are able to;
1. understand the main idea expressed in a standard language on everyday topics;
2. understand the texts that contain the vocabulary often used in everyday life or related to their work or studies ;
3. are able to spontanneously participate in a conversation on a familiar or everyday topics;
4. are able to tell a story or a plot of a book / film and express their opinion/describe their reactions;
5. write simple texts on a familiar or interesting topics;

Exam conditions
Grading of the course both for full-time and part-time students: a semester exam during the semester, written test in the examination period. Successful graduates of the course need to get at least 70 points (from both parts together).

Semester exam 30 % (e.g. speaking exam, essay, listening test, presentation, etc.)

Final test using ROPOT in the IS (70 %)

Students in a full-time form of study are required to participate in at least 70 % of the seminars. Students are required to actively participate in the seminars and fulfill the tasks assigned by the teacher

The condition for successful completion of the course is the active participation of students and fulfillment of assigned tasks

Students with an individual study plan (ISP) must notify the teacher of this fact no later than the second week of the semester. Students with ISPs must complete a semester exam and final test. The semester exam will take place on a date agreed with the teacher. The date must be agreed with the teacher no later than two weeks before the end of the teaching period.
