Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquiant students with the basics of academic work and the use of its principles in the bachelor thesis.
After passing the subject successfully, students will be able to work out independently a specific topic with the use of their own professional knowledge and skills, specialized literature, internal materials of enterprises and they will also be able to formulate the conclusions of their work and defend it.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the subject, the student will be able to:
describe the issues connected to the thesis topic,
defend the theoretical fundaments and create conclusions of the thesis,
apply advanced scientific methods,
evaluate and process experimental research,
conduct scientific projects.

can carry out the suggested tasks and framework of a Bachelor’s thesis
can formulate research questions, hypotheses, look for methods and apply them
can collect data and ready it for analysis and evaluation

Syllabus
  • Course outline:
  • 1. Bachelor thesis project. selection of the topic of the bachelor thesis
  • 2-3. Collection of information
  • 4.-5. Work with literature, determination and refinement of objectives, working hypothesis, problem solving - methods of solution, application in practice.
  • 6.-7. Structure of the bachelor thesis. Editing of bachelor theses: page layout, text structure, tables, figures, etc.
  • 8. Bibliographic citation, reference to citation and reference list.
  • 9.-10.Evaluation of the bachelor thesis and its defence.
  • 11. Presentation of the bachelor thesis project at the seminar.
  • 12.Presentation of the theoretical and methodological part of the thesis at the seminar.
  • 13.Presentation of the first version of the application part of the thesis at the seminar.

Teacher's information
After succesfully completing the course, the students will be able to conduct their own systematic research in a selected area, to present results via a structured written report of a medium extent. Course content: Presenting a bachelor thesis (BT), reading reviews, discussion, evaluation.
