Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with innovations, types and kinds of innovations, new concepts of innovation process and innovative methods and their use in practice. The course focuses on the management of creative projects and creativity in the innovation process where the human factor plays an important role. The aim of the course is to contribute to the ability of students to form an idea of innovation strategies, innovative thinking and the development of creativity, which lead to the development of innovation and entrepreneurial competencies.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student can:
1. knows and explains innovations, types of innovations and understands the new concept of the innovation process
2. can clarify the essence of innovative business, rules of effective innovation, goals of the innovation process and assess barriers in innovation processes
3. understands the principles of strategic and operational innovation management
4. can analyze and evaluate the criteria of innovation projects, innovation models and their use in practice
5. knows the tasks of scientific research in the company

  • 3. Innovation process. Stages and objectives of the innovation process. Basic value categories of the innovation process.

  • 5. Innovation management from the perspective of corporate hierarchy, innovation strategy.
  • 6. Human factor in the innovation process. The manager and his role in ensuring the development of innovative entrepreneurship.

Exam conditions
To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve a total of at least 70% of the interim and final evaluation under the conditions set out below. In the continuous evaluation, 30 points can be obtained, i.e. 30%. A total of 70 points, ie 70%, can be obtained in the final evaluation. Overall classification of the course, ie points for the final evaluation (70 - 0) + points from the continuous evaluation (30 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89,99 - 84, C 83,99 - 77, D 76,99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0. The full-time student is obliged to meet the mandatory 70% attendance at contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures. If the participation is not met, the student will be automatically classified "-".

Teacher's information
Attendance at classes in all forms is solved by a separate internal standard of ITB (Records of student attendance at ITB). For full-time students, 70% attendance at seminars is mandatory.

Students with an individual study plan (ISP) will take only a 100-point final test in the examination period from the subject Innovation Management. Students are obliged to contact the teacher of the subject Innovation Management in person or in writing immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP). If the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account.
