Therefore the main objective of this article was to determine, on the basis of the results of the questionnaire survey in 607 Czech companies, whether the presence of a code of ethics in a company depends on the size of a company and its market activities in terms of the area in which it operates. The results of the survey have shown that there is a statistically significant increase in the prevalence of a code of ethics with company size but the increase in the prevalence of a code of ethics is uneven. The next finding was that there is a statistically significant increase in the prevalence of a code of ethics in relation to the increasing market activities of a company (among national, multinational and regional companies). It may therefore be concluded that the increase in the prevalence of a code of ethics according to market activities is demonstrable but not substantial. ER -
