- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the subject Buildings and environment is to provide the knowledge of the indoor environment theory with envirosystem respect. The basic knowledge about selected indoor pollutants will be presented. The sources and their indoor occurence will be analysed and solutions will be given.The emphasis will be given to understanding of interaction with building structures and technical services systems.The students will learn to address and understand the physical, chemical and biological indoor pollutants related to comfort, hygiene and environmental safety.
- Learning outcomes
- Student is able to identify physical, chemical and biological indoor pollutants. He will understand their interaction and he will be able to describe their sources, biologcal impacts as well as their elimination.

- 1. Buildings and environment, envirosystem of indoors. 2. Indoor thermal and humidity microclimate. 3. Indoor noise, acustic microclimate. 4. Indoor radon. 5. Indoor Volatile organic compounds. 6. Indoor nitrogen oxides. 7. Indoor particles, aerosols. 8. Indoor odors. 9. Indoor Microbiological compounds. 10.Electrostatic and aelectromagnetic energy of indoors. 11.Indoor Aeroions. 12.Perceived indoor air quality. 13.Architectural,structural and environmental interaction.

- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
