- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The students are to be informed about the function of supporting constructions in their working conditions, and in their defective conditions.The students are prepared to develop their individual approach and to acquire the ability to assess the function of materials and constructions. The students are expected to learn the methods of the identification of construction defects occuring prior, or at the time of their defection, including the risk degree assessment. The acquired theoretical knowledge and the analysis assessment are to be applied to a particular solution of the identified defect.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is able to assess the behavior of the supporting structures before their failure and in the state of their violation, it has the ability to estimate the behavior of the material and the structure. The subject graduate is able to predict the behavior of the material and construction and controls the methods of identifying structural defects before and at the time of their breach with an estimate of the degree of danger. The acquired knowledge is able to apply the identified defects to a particular solution.
