Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire the basics of the Autodesk Revit Architecture graphics system, which is used for parametric design and documentation of buildings. Upon successful completion of this course the student is able to set the user environment, lay out the work area. Can create a new project, work with elements and create project documentation drawings.

The aim of the subject is mastering of skills with graphical program Revit MEP. After the successful completion of the subject, the student will be able to create drawings of sewers, water mains, gas, heating and air conditioning.
Syllabus
  • 1. Content of the subject CAD_3 – Revit MEP, links to CAD_2, possibilities of creating sources
  • 2. Modelling and designing of building services (sanitary plumbing, heating, ventilation, wiring ....)
  • 3.Creating families - specification of piping materials and fixtures following the ČSN standards
  • 4. Customizing of Revit MEP software to standards specified by ČSN, DIN - label database modifications and setting properties
  • 5. Complete design of water supply - dimensioning, floor plans, isometrics, listings of pipes, fixtures and fittings
  • 6. Complete design of drain - dimensioning, floor plans, vertical sections listings pipes, fixtures and fittings
  • 7.3D design of internal gas pipeline ( house connection and one selected floor)
  • 8. 3D design of double-pipe heating (one selected floor)
  • 9. Binding Revit MEP software to other CAD applications

  • 1. Content of the subject CAD_3 – Revit MEP, links to CAD_2, possibilities of creating sources
  • 2. Modelling and designing of building services (sanitary plumbing, heating, ventilation, wiring ....)
  • 3.Creating families - specification of piping materials and fixtures following the ČSN standards
  • 4. Customizing of Revit MEP software to standards specified by ČSN, DIN - label database modifications and setting properties
  • 5. Complete design of water supply - dimensioning, floor plans, isometrics, listings of pipes, fixtures and fittings
  • 6. Complete design of drain - dimensioning, floor plans, vertical sections listings pipes, fixtures and fittings

Syllabus
  • 1.Introduction to the course CAD_3. Possibilities of substrates.
  • 2. Teaching of AutoCAD Sanitary superstructure CADKON. Explanation of floor plans, sections and axonometric advanced plumbing ZTI systems (sanitary).
  • 3.Creating specifications of used materials and elements of the drawing. The output will be mainly the table to MS Excel (OpenOffice) and legends inserted directly into the drawing (pipe line types, used symbols).
  • 4.Customizing CADKON to a company practices and standards – pre-setting of levels(names, colours, types of lines), adjustment of database of the used signes and many other settings (span of pipeline, shape of text labels in the drawing...).
  • 5.Processing of drawing documentation of drains.
  • 6.Processing of drawing documentation of water distribution.
  • 7.Processing of project documentation drawings of gas distribution.
  • 8.Teaching AutoCAD extensions CADKON Heating and piping. Explanation of floor plans and sections of the heating system.

Introduction of other CAD systems such as Allplan and Microstation, etc., students are supposed to become familiar with basic procedures and key features of the graphics system.

  • Allplan-System - the basic philosophy of the system, setup and basic drawing elements, award points, handles, auxiliary structures, area selection, etc. Allplan-System - levels, film, hatches, patterns, dimensions - Allplan-System - a complex example in 2D Allplan-System - Introduction to 3D architecture, movement   3D Window, wall and height adjustment -The Allplan - window and door openings, modeler, columns, plates and holes in the plate -The Allplan - staircases, roof windows in 3D motion (movement, axonometric, perspective, hidden lines) Allplan-System - 2D drawings and 3D views. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire the basics of the Autodesk Revit Architecture graphics system, which is used for parametric design and documentation of buildings.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course the student is able to set the user environment, lay out the work area. Can create a new project, insert components, edit parameters, and create project documentation drawings.

The aim of the subject is mastering of skills with graphical program Revit MEP. After the successful completion of the subject, the student will be able to create drawings of sewers, water mains, gas, heating and air conditioning.
Syllabus
  • 1. Content of the subject CAD_3 – Revit MEP, links to CAD_2, possibilities of creating sources
  • 2. Modelling and designing of building services (sanitary plumbing, heating, ventilation, wiring ....)
  • 3.Creating families - specification of piping materials and fixtures following the ČSN standards
  • 4. Customizing of Revit MEP software to standards specified by ČSN, DIN - label database modifications and setting properties
  • 5. Complete design of water supply - dimensioning, floor plans, isometrics, listings of pipes, fixtures and fittings
  • 6. Complete design of drain - dimensioning, floor plans, vertical sections listings pipes, fixtures and fittings
  • 7.3D design of internal gas pipeline ( house connection and one selected floor)
  • 8. 3D design of double-pipe heating (one selected floor)
  • 9. Binding Revit MEP software to other CAD applications
  • 10.Individual work

  • 12.Submitting of required drawing documentation to electronic information storage system of the school in three time horizons according to the agreement with the teacher

Students should operate basic computer work in Windows and working with AutoCAD or other CAD system (the basic elements of drawing, editing the drawing elements, blocks, layers, text, hatch styles, basics of 3D, etc.) according to the range of CAD systems I and II.

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Familiarity with other CAD systems such as Allplan and Microstation, etc., getting acquianted with basic procedures and the most important features of the graphical system.
Syllabus
  • - Allplan basic philosophy of the system, settings and basic drawing elements, set points, grips, auxiliary structures, area selection, etc. levels, foils, hatches, patterns, dimensions comprehensive example in 2D introduction to 3D architecture, motion in 3D window walls and height adjustment window and door openings, modeller, columns, plates and holes in the board staircases and roofs, movement in 3D window (movement, axonometric, perspective, hidden edges), 2D drawings from 3D views and cuts, materials, rendering, terrain, examples of general 3D modeling elements, other procedures and functions. - Microstation basic philosophy of the system, differences with AutoCAD layers, power selection, basic elements of drawing and editing, cell shading, grid manager, reference drawings, other procedures and functions in 2D and 3D.
