Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to get acquainted with the theory and practice of personnel management in organizations, ie with the goals and tasks of human resource management, its main tools and directions of its development. The main content topics of the course include the role of human resource management in the overall management of the organization, managerial skills needed for human resource management, the main roles of HR and line managers associated with hiring and adapting employees, managing and evaluating their work performance, motivation and creation of employee remuneration, with their education and development. Other topics include personnel planning in the organization, the relationship and cooperation of line and personnel management, and the creation and change of personnel organization (systematization) of the company.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the students:
- understand the importance and main tasks of human resource management in the organization and labor law framework of human resource management,
- master the basic managerial competencies for human resources management, control personnel costs and understand the indicators of personnel controlling,
- understand the principles of creating a personnel organization and its changes as well as the principles of personnel planning of the organization, define the content of jobs, manage the process of hiring and adaptation of employees,
- understand the principles of management and evaluation of employee performance, understand the principles of motivation and remuneration of employees, cocreate the remuneration system, its fixed and performance components, including employee benefits,
- understand the requirements of training and further education and development of employees, are able to plan, organize and evaluate corporate education,

Exam conditions
For successful completion of the course it is necessary to achieve at least 70 % of the course and final test together under the conditions specified below. In the course test, students can get up to 30 points, i.e. 30 %. In the final test, students can get up to 70 points, i.e. 70 %. Grading for the course, i.e. points for the final test (70 - 0) + points for the course test (30 - 0): A 100 – 90, B 89.99 – 84, C 83.99 – 77, D 76.99 – 73, E 72.99 – 70, FX 69.99 – 30, F 29.99 – 0. Students in the full-time form of study are obliged to participate in 70 % of the lessons (except for lectures). If this condition is not fulfilled, the student will automatically get “F” grade.

70 % attendance at seminars and exercises is compulsory for daily students.

Video lectures of doc. Urban are entered into the VŠTE Information System for students of the combined study.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
