- FORMA(P)
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to provide students with basic and expertise in the fields of mechanical engineering. In respect of the foundry, metal forming, casting, welding, machining and technical control. It is a comprehensive cross-section of engineering technology for professionals in the field of technical expertise.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is oriented in the field of foundry, metal forming, welding, machining and technical control. He is able to work independently on the leading positions of individual technological sections and to correctly set the technology of component manufacturing according to the drawing documentation.
- Syllabus
- 1. Production of molds and cores - Machinery and special methods; casting molds - gravity casting, special methods of casting Straining second mold during casting - mechanical, thermal and chemical stress. 3rd solidification of the casting - shrinkage during solidification, feeding. 4. Properties of molten metals and alloys - to melt, flow and fluidity, segregation. 5. Metals and alloys for foundries and their labeling. 6. Physical principle and mechanism of plastic deformation; basic laws of plastic deformation, mechanical deformation diagrams. 7th Derivation of basic quantities of plastic strain - strain rate, resistance to deformation, deformation and strength work 8. Influence of temperature on the plastic material properties - hardening, recovery, recrystallization; hot forming - region forming temperatures, heating technology metal (oxidation and decarburization). 9th most important forming processes - forging, rolling, bending, drawing, extruding. 10. Influence of fusion welding to the base material - metallurgical happening during welding, thermal effects of welding; structure weld joint - TOO weld joint in relation to the diagram of Fe-Fe3C; deformations and internal stresses in welds, means reducing distortion and internal stresses. 11th Weldability material carbon equivalent, evaluating weldability of steel, cracks in the weld joint. 12th Submerged arc welding; electroslag welding; shielded welding; Resistance welding. 13th Electron beam welding; laser welding; plasma welding and cutting; soldering.
