Project management, project, project team and project manager ... these are the inspiring words that are in the current turbulent period of change in the 21st century decline across all disciplines. The project is instrument for change, which are achieved our goals. Each project has at least three basic parameters - attributes (properties), which are: AIM (expected results) RESOURCES (represented costs) and TIME (execution time). Those parameters are called trojimperativ of project because IMPERATIVE - command predetermine the course of the project from the beginning to the end within the project lifecycle. The aim of the subject Project Management is to clarify in the general concept the basic principles, actions, instruments and methods in project management in agreement with world trends of the modern concept of project management, especially of project management according to IPMA.

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject Project management is teach students ,,project thinking and planning", to learn the practical application of exercises in working Gross during solving simple examples and simulations with the support of high-quality information sources. The result of the project is to build a quality project team according to the methodology IPMA so that it was organizationally capable, economically sustainable, and competitive in terms of meeting the needs and wishes of clients (customers). After completing the subject the student will acquire interdisciplinary knowledge, practical skills and experience in project management especially in industrial enterprises in relation to the creation of the logical framework and monitoring indicators of the project, project planning with using of software support with respect for the conditions, methods and forms of financing and risks including project control and successful conclusion of this financial implemented project.
Syllabus
  • 1. Basic concepts of project management - project, the project as a change project parameters, trojimperativ of project, the project team, the success of the project, stakeholders. 2. Project Management - Project, project of life cycle, pre-project phase of the life cycle of the project, project phase of the project of life cycle, post-project phase of the life cycle of the project, project communication, teamwork, organizational commitment. 3. Logical framework of project - monitoring indicators of project. 4. Planning of the project - the main project documents of the planning process, process of creation Definition of objective of the project, Gantt diagrams, Diagrams of milestones , PERT / CPM network, PDM diagrams, Diagram of Activity on connecting line, Diagram of Activity on network point. 5. Software support of project management - informational of securing of project, computer support of project management, software programs to support of project management. 6. Risk management - risk, risk planning, and ten steps of process of the planning of risks. 7. Project Team - human resources of project team, the role of project manager, competencies of project manager, activities of project manager, working group, working team, team roles according to MR Belbin, staff resources, the life cycle of a team member, task assignment. 8. Financing of projects - project cost, methods of assessing costs, reserves, plan of management of costs, procedure of management of costs, life cycle costs of the project as finance of project. 9. Project control - monitoring and control of project, communication in project management, reports of meetings of the project team, GTD methods. 10. Closing of the project - phase of project completion, completion of the project within the project of life cycle, characteristic of the post-project phase, the final report of the project 11. - 13.
