Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The supposed input level of students' knowledge is A2/B1 level in the Common Europen Framework of Reference for Languages. The output level is B2 with the focus on a professional and technical language of the studied field. The course constists of two modules which aim to the gradual development of the fixed output level. Module 1 The aim of the subject is the gradual development of the communicative skills needed for the practice in the civil engineering. The basic precondition is the active mastering of the professional vocabulary of the studied field in the range of given topics. The emphasis is given mainly on the development of the dialogical competence, reading comperehension and communicative skills connected with the presentation of the professional topic in the field of construction.

Test – final 70%
Presentation 30%
Podmínky testu
The written final test is evaluated within the scope of 0 - 70 points and comprises of 35 questions (2 points for each correct answer). To pass, the student must earn a 70% or higher. The students can earn up to 30 points in the oral presentation. The maximum number of points the students can earn from both the written test and the presentation is 100. To obtain credit, the student must earn a minimum of 70 points (total of test and oral presentation points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points.
