Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The subject's objective is, above all, to prepare the students for the function of an urban planning assigner in the public adminstration, and the function of an expert on such documentacion in real estate and developing agencies, and in construction companies, togedher with the learning of basic activities relating to the preparation, and implementation of urban planning documentation of all levels.
Syllabus
  • 1. Urbanism, urban planning categories, urban planning development. 2. Urban planning processes, and planning levels, designer, assigner, urban planning office, citizen, investor, developer. 3. Urban planning instruments, objectives, and assignments. 4. Definition, and thesis of sustainable development, and the efforts to create the conditions for its implementation in urban planning. 5. Urban planning basis, definition, function, purpose, development. 6. Regional planning policy, approval, reasons for its formation, substance, and classification of PUR. 7. Principles of regional urban development - substance, classification, relation to PUR and UP. 8. Urban plans, substance, urbanistic conception, urban planning realization process. 9. Regulation plans, substance, process, details, space regulation. 10. Chart basis, and geographic information system. 11. Influence assesment on the sustainable regional development, sustainable development. 12. Flood-control protection in urban planning. 13. Urban planning development overview, new tendencies in urban planning within the EU and the Czech Republic.
