The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Extend of the course affects the wide range of the finishing works including the indroduction to the formation of the defects and disorders of these works to the methods of their correction. The aim of this course is not only to present these defects to students, but to present mainly the variants and possible combinations of the single methods of mending and variability of the materials used for it.
Syllabus
  • Disciplines of the finishing works and the mutual technological binding
  • Binding of the materials and their mutual tolerance, chemical degradation
  • Influence of aging and degradation of the materilas at the structural sets
  • Degradation processes caused by the changes of the capacity
  • Technological, microbiological and humidity defects of the tiles and paving made of stone and ceramics
  • Wood in the interior and exterior, its behavior, biocorrosion and preventive measure
  • Defects and redevelopment of the surface adjustment in interiors
  • Defects and redevelopment of the outside places, restoration works
  • Natural and forced ventilation of the buildings and constructions, the consequence of the ventilation system changes
  • Defects and reparations of the tinsmithing works
  • Colour and its influence of the behaviour of the constructions and the formation of defects
  • Balconies and railing, defects caused by the heat and humidity strain
  • Defects and disorders of the windows, doors, recesses, sunroofs, air shafts
