Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course deals with the basics of education, pedagogical terminology, systematizes and interprets basic pedagogical phenomena and laws. It also provides basic information on the theoretical foundations of pedagogy.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the learner
- will clarify the relationship between pedagogical science and theory;
- knows the historical context of the development of pedagogy;
- know how to conduct pedagogical research and its analysis;
- can explain the concepts of functional literacy/illiteracy, alternative and innovative education and social inequalities.

  • 3. Educational process, education as a process of humanization.
  • 4. Heredity, innateness and the development of intelligence.

  • 7. The current school system.
  • 8. Education of pupils with disabilities.
  • 9. The social role of education.

Successful completion of the course requires a minimum of 70% of the final grade under the conditions set out below. A total of 100 points, i.e. 100%, can be obtained in the final assessment. Overall course classification, i.e. points for the final assessment (100 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0.
