- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with legislation, basic concepts and sources of labor law. The course deals with the position of subjects, legal proceedings and responsibilities in labor elations. Students will get acquainted with the basics of labor law, with the legal regulation of the establishment, changes and termination of labor relations, the rights and obligations of participants in labor relations and methods of resolving disputes between employers and employees. The graduate of the course masters basic legal concepts in the field of labor law and is able to draft contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
understands the concept, system and role of labor law in practice,
is able to independently and responsibly make decisions in legal issues of labor law practice
analyzes individual legal problems in their context,
the solution to the problem includes consideration of the overall functioning of the legal system as well as ethical dimensions,
clearly and convincingly communicates to experts and lay people professional information about the nature of the legal case and its own opinion on it, uses professional legal knowledge in order to expand its other skills in labor law practice. - Syllabus

Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points under following conditions: Mid-term grading: maximum 30% (0-30 points). Final grading: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Classification: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 – 0.
The students of the full-time form of study are obliged to fulfill the 70% attendance at the seminars. If the attendance is not met, the students will be automatically classified "-". Students of combined and full-time forms of study will submit the essay to the office (submission room).

- Teacher's information
- Attendance at classes in all forms is governed by a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance at seminars is mandatory. Students with an individual study plan will take only a 100-point final test from the subject of Labor Law in the examination period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account.
