Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim is to introduce students to drawing and reading construction drawings. The student after successful completion: a) is able to read construction drawings of technical documentation b) can explain what the different lines, characters, drawings, etc. in the hatch technical documentation c) is capable to apply knowledge gained in developing his/her own technical documentation
Syllabus
  • Thematic areas:
  • 1. General information about building drawings, scales, formats, lines - types and their use
  • 2. Basic equipment for the building permit - floor plans, sections, views and orientation of the building on the drawing
  • 3. Dimensioning principles and description of drawings
  • 4. Show holes in the drawings - windows, doors (floor plan, section, view) and related nomenclature
  • 5. Basics of floor drawing, legend of rooms, materials, identification table. Show chimneys, ventilation holes and shafts
  • 6. Drawing floors, tiles, perforations and fittings
  • 7. Vertical section of the object and technical view
  • 8. Basics of Stair Drawing
  • 9. Fundamentals of drawing the ceilings
  • 10. Fundamentals of truss drawing, inclined and flat roofs
  • 11. Basics of drawing the foundation of the building
  • 12. Basics of drawing excavations
  • 13. Principles of drawing the situation

The semestral work must be submitted before the test. Grading of the course: First Test/Seminar Work/ … : maximum 30% (0-30 points) Final Test: maximum 70% (0-70 points) Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points.
