Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Students will be able to publish a text or presentation in Tex program and its mutations.
Learning outcomes
The student knows how the professionally created text look like and can create such text. The student can also type mathematical texts. The student is able to create professional-looking text and presentation, including mathematical (physical) passages, pictures, tables and lists.
Syllabus
  • 1. What is Tex used for? Different environments for creating text. Sample installation environment and basic settings. 2. Basic skeleton of the document, file translation, file types, first writing of the text (size and typefaces…) 3. Division of text, text alignment, automatic content generation. 4. Pictures - inserting, describing, generating a list of pictures, references 5. Tables - insertion, description, lists of tables 6. Equations and mathematical environment 7. Numbered and bulleted lists 8. Spaces, quotation marks, dates and other details 9. Attachments, inserting pdf documents 10. Working with literature, citations, list of literature 11. Beamer I 12. Beamer II 13. Final summary

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
