- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The course is to acquaint students with problems of Load of Buildings. Students will be acquainted with the basic terminology of building structures, terminology of loads of buildings and types of loads of buidlings. Students will become familiar with the problems of load calculations, loading of elements and load transmission for construction.
- Learning outcomes
- The student has an overview of the problems of building loads. Student knows basic terminology of building structures, terminology of load of structures, types of loadings of structures. Students have an idea about the problems of load calculations, stressing elements and load transmission on structures.
- Syllabus
- 1. Fundamentals of Structural Design (Principles of limit States Methods, Basic Variables, Structural Analysis). 2. Fundamentals of Structural Design (Method of Partial Coefficients, Combined Loads). 3. Own Weight, Permanent Loads, Live Loads. 4. Snow burden 5. Wind burden. 6. Temperature burden, Loads during Building Construction. 7. The loading from crane machinery 8. Earthquake loads, Exceptional loads (vehicle strokes, Explosion loads). 9. Model example: reinforced concrete slab (construction design, load calculation, structural analysis) 10. Model example: cantilever balcony beam (construction design, load calculation, structural analysis) 11. Model example: stairs (construction design, load calculation, structural analysis) 12.
