Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Students will be required to extend their basic knowledge of the processes of corporate finance to a level at which they are able to understand the specialized activities aimed at streamlining these processes. Graduates will be able to plan activities to optimize business processes. The starting point for planning is knowledge of the financial and capital resources of a company and their chosen methods of evaluation. This is a necessity if a company is to conform with and meet the needs of its owner(s) and shareholder(s).

  • Risks and their possible elimination.
  • Methods of company evaluation - financial analysis (horizontal, vertical, ratio).
  • Methods of company evaluation - credibility models.
  • Methods of company evaluation - bankruptcy models and other models.
  • Leasing and franchising.
  • Factoring and forfaiting.
  • Profit as a tool for financing a business; dividend policy.
  • Exceptional financing - financing of the establishment, expansion, redevelopment, merger or termination of a business I.
  • Exceptional financing - financing of the establishment, expansion, redevelopment, merger and termination of a business II.
  • Financial planning - methods of drawing up a plan and reviewing the implementation thereof.
  • Short-term and long-term financial planning.
