Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Subject acquaints students digestedly with problems of construction and functional proposal gearing mechanism in machine. Graduate will be able to arithmetically solve and design an option of gadgetry in practice separately from catalogue or to construct in terms of disposition production.with help of technical norms and catalogues of specialized producers. At the same time students will identify conditions of operation and upkeep mechanical arrangement with transmissions
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to the problems gearing mechanism of machine – conditions of functionality (kinematics), technical solving principles (formative / power transmission; direct / belted transmissions; rotational motion transmissions / randomizing gadgetry); common base of solidity proposal and verification accordance with substance construction 2. Thong and friction - gearing – constructional ordering, variants characteristics and pertinence of their using; numerical solving of functional proposal, selection of transfer element of catalogue, construction thong wheels 3. Tightrope transmissions – constructional ordering, variants characteristics and pertinence of their using; numerical solving functional proposal, selection of transfer element from catalogue, construction funicular pulleies and drums 4. Chain transmissions – constructional ordering, variants characteristics and pertinence of their using; numerical solving functional proposal, selection of transfer element from catalogue, construction of chain wheels 5. Transmissions with cogged wheels – theory of tooth system (functionality condition, production involute tooth system, dimensioned proposal frontal wheels with direct teeth, problems cut down heels tooths, variants of correction tooth system) 6. Transmissions spur gearing wheels with direct and oblique tooth system – operational characteristics, functional, dimensioned and strenght calculation 7. Transmissions of taper and spiral cogged wheels, planetary transmission – operational, constructional, and technological characteristics, basic functional design (calculation transmissive rate) 8. industrial mechanical gearbox – with constant transmissive rate (constructional ordering of frontal, conic-spur, helical and planetary gear - boxs; constructive conditions, pertinence of using, fault source) 9. Mechanical gear - boxs mechanical and vehicles – with uncertain transmissive rate (constructional ordering, variants of shifting mechanism, examples of tried practical fulfilment) 10. Spiral gadgetry – constructional ordering, variants characteristics and pertinence of their using; numerical solving functional proposal and solidity verification, construction part of mechanism 11. Joint gadgetry – constructional ordering, characteristics of variants and pertinence of their using; essence of solving functional proposal and solidity verification, construction part of mechanism 12. Introduction to the problems liquids mechanisms – hydrostatic, pneumatic and hydrodynamic drives Running and servicing gearing mechanism, variant solving (regulated electrical drive).
