The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The target of the course AED_1 is to convey the basic skills necessary for the standard communication in the studied language. The course heads towards the fixed output of level A1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages within the range of the topics Unit 1 - Unit 6. At the end of the course students are able to:
- get acquainted with the English phonetics and phonology
- acquire the basic grammar
- use basic phrases
- hold the simple conversation

Exam conditions
The credit test mainly involves the content of units 1 -6. The test constitutes 100% of the assessment. For the successful completion of the course, the students have to achieve at least 70%, which is 70 points from the test.
