Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge about the problems of failures of building structures and the possibility of their repairs, reconstructions and renovations. This applies to buildings of a land character (residential buildings, buildings of civic amenities of industrial and agricultural buildings), including historic and listed buildings. The issue of masonry structures, wooden structures of ceilings and trusses, remediation of wet masonry and structural and physical failures will be discussed in detail.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to analyze the causes of failures. He will be able to solve construction and technical surveys independently. The student is also able to design an adequate reconstruction to the problem.
