- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The subject introduces the audience to the issue of Industry 4.0, the digital transformation of industry within the fourth industrial revolution and Smart industry. To the issue of strategy and implementation and digital transformation in Industry 4.0.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will gain knowledge about the architecture of a smart factory, a smart plant and smart applications. He will know the basic principles for the horizontal and vertical integration of industry 4.0. He will also have knowledge of the technologies, operational technologies and information technologies that form the basis for Industry 4.0. He will also be able to characterize the automation pyramid, application levels 4.0, industrial data space, solve innovations in the field of industrial technologies with the help of IT and solve problems for the needs of Smart industry. He will know how to design and manage agile and process chains of engineering enterprises in connection with the links between technological and logistic processes. A graduate of the subject can define and explain the goals and tasks of logistics 4.0, can design and dimension handling, transport and storage equipment, can perform control operations, has basic knowledge in the field of operational, production and process control of production processes in the engineering industry, as well as work safety in the engineering industry .

The exam has a written part: The written part verifies the student's ability to understand and apply basic theoretical knowledge from the material in engineering practice; exam – written 70%. Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.
