- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to supplement students’ mathematical knowledge to the level required in the introductory mathematics courses Mathematics I (B_MAT_1) and Mathematics for Economics (B_MAT_a, B_MAT).
- Learning outcomes
- After successfully completing the course, the student is able to manipulate algebraic expressions, work with complex fractions and exponential expressions. They are proficient in solving equations and inequalities, including those involving absolute values, irrational equations, quadratic equations, exponential and logarithmic equations. The student can work with logarithms, understands trigonometric functions and their properties, as well as trigonometric equations, rational linear functions, inverse proportionality, polynomial functions and their characteristics. They are capable of graphing all elementary functions and their modifications.

- The course is intended primarily for students who are uncertain about their current level of mathematical knowledge or wish to strengthen their understanding of fundamental concepts and methods. Instruction is based on specially prepared course materials tailored to the needs of first-year students. The goal is to clearly and accessibly review key topics from high school mathematics and to build a solid foundation for subsequent university-level courses. The teaching approach is relaxed and emphasizes understanding. The course is suitable for students of both technical and economic fields.
