The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to master the basics of designing buildings for housing. The student will get acquainted with the basics of design of residential buildings, especially with the placement of buildings on the land and the layout of apartments, houses, apartment buildings, multifunctional buildings, and buildings for people with reduced mobility (part of the teaching is also a practical exercise of mobility in a wheelchair space).
Learning outcomes
The student is able to design or evaluate the layout of residential buildings, their location on the land and orientation to the world and the surrounding area.

Podmínky testu

To pass the module, students must submit all parts of the independent project and achieve a total of at least 70 marks. 


Students undertake an independent project, which is divided into two parts: research (20 marks) and the project proposal itself (20 marks). If only one part of the project is submitted, the overall assessment for the module will be a fail. Students also earn marks for consultations on their independent project (10 marks).


A total of 50 marks can be awarded for the final test. The final test consists of a practical design (15 marks) and a theoretical section (35 marks). A score of at least 70 per cent must be achieved in both parts of the test; otherwise, the relevant part must be retaken.


Course assessment: 100–70 marks = passed; 69–0 marks = failed

Teacher's information
Attendance at classes in all forms solves a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance at seminars and seminars is mandatory. More than 50% attendance at block classes is compulsory for students of the combined form. The student will independently supplement the information provided by the teacher in class during his absence (he will not request it individually from the teacher).
