- The aim of the course is to familiarize students with technical means, especially with sensors of non-electrical quantities and with the basics of the theory of automatic control in industrial practice through the principles of feedback control, the description of various controller, their types and characteristics.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will then be able to apply theoretical knowledge to the design of innovative modifications measurement and control of specialized technologies, will be able to use selected robots (Kawasaki) and control electrical actuators within the robotics laboratory.
- Syllabus
- 1. Basic concepts and definition of the subject content.
- 2. Temperature sensors (principles, applications, accuracy, reliability, cost).
- 3. Pressure sensors (principles, applications, accuracy, reliability, cost).
- 4. Sensors for flow and level measurement (principles, application, accuracy, reliability, price).
- 5. Sensors for pH and conductivity measurement (principles, applications, accuracy, reliability, price).
- 6. Sensors for measuring concentration and humidity and oxygen activity (principles, application, accuracy, reliability, price).
- 7. Methods of sensing, transmission, registration and processing of DAQ data.
- 8. Controlled system, control and feedback control, basic control circuits.
- 9. Control circuit functions, block diagrams.
- 10. Controllers, their characteristics and design.
- 11. Robotics and application of sensors in control of robotic arms.
- 12. Electrical drives and their control using PLC controlled frequency converters
- 13. Accuracy, stability and optimal setting of control circuits.
- 14. Application of control computers and PLCs in automated control systems.
