Autorka ve svém příspěvku charakterizuje produkci okrasných, léčivých, aromatických a kořeninových rostlin a školkařství v České republice. V úvodní části ve stručnosti popisuje tuto činnost v minulých dobách. V další části upozorňuje na legislativní úpravu této hospodářské aktivity v rámci České republiky i Evropské unie. Porovnává údaje z České republiky v časových řadách s údaji vybraných států EU. Upozorňuje na problémy, které mají naši pěstitelé v důsledku problémových klimatických podmínek a levných dovozů. Zdůrazňuje nutnost zachovávat starobylé odrůdy rostlin, které jsou národním bohatstvím a genetickým zdrojem, jehož hodnotu nelze penězi vyčíslit.

The author describes the production of ornamental, medicinal, aromatic and spice plants and forest nurseries in the Czech Republic in her contribution. The author describes this activity in the past shortly in the introduction. In the next part it draws attention to the legislative regulation of this economic activity within the Czech Republic and the European Union. She compares data from the Czech Republic in time series with data from selected EU countries. She is warnings on the problems our growers face due to difficult climate conditions and cheap imports. The author emphasizes the need to preserve ancient plant varieties, which are the national wealth and genetic resources, but this value can not be quantified.
