Heslo v odborné encyklopedii o patentu o zrušení poddanství, který vydal během revoluce 1848 rakouský císař, český a uherský král Ferdinand I. Habsbursko-Lotrinský (1793 – 1875). Akceptoval ujednání říšského sněmu a vyhlásil definitivní zrušení poddanství a roboty. Tím došlo k zásadní sociální reformě, likvidaci feudálního systému a patrimoniální správy a k transformaci venkovské společnosti v občanskou a kapitalistickou společnost.

An entry in an expert encyclopedia about the Abolition of Servitude Patent issued during the 1848 revolution by the Austrian Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary and Bohemia, Ferdinand I. (1793-1875). He accepted the agreement of the Imperial Diet and he issued the definitive abolishment of servitude and corvée. This lead to a significant social reform, the elimination of the feudal system and patrimonial administration, and to the transformation of provincial society into a civic and capitalistic society.
