- he aim of the course is to provide students with basic knowledge in the field of general psychology and personality psychology, to present an overview of models and trends in these areas of psychology and to draw attention to the current development of the field. An equally important goal of the course is to point out the context of psychology and education.
- Learning outcomes
- - has an overview of psychological disciplines and related technical terminology;
- is aware of the diversity of determinants of the human psyche and can express the relationship between individual influences and the human psyche;
- knows psychological processes, is aware of their interconnectedness and complexity;
- can define the term personality, knows its structure and dynamic elements and masters the basic theories of personality psychology;
- understands the continuity of general psychology and is familiar with applications focused on pedagogical and other educational activities.
Upon successful completion of the course, students

- 1. Introduction to the subject General psychology, overview of psychological disciplines - basic, special and applied; psychological methodology and basic methods of psychological research. 2. Biological and social conditioning of the human psyche, heredity, biological needs, physical conditions, development of the human psyche. 3. Interpersonal relationships as a social determinant of the psyche, relationships in the group and between groups, social norms and culture. 4. Experiencing - consciousness, unconsciousness and will, the concept of conscious and unconscious processes. 5. Mental processes - emotions, temperament, motivation, cognitive processes, memory and learning, fantasy and thinking. 6. Skills - levels, types, possibilities of learning skills. 7. Intelligence - definition, measurement of intelligence, models of intelligence, components and types of intelligence. 8. Language, thinking and speech from the point of view of general psychology. 9. Personality as a subject of knowledge in psychology, structure and dynamics of personality, theory and approaches of personality psychology. Personality in normal and normal conditions and situations. Possibilities of cognition of personality, research methods. 10. Application of psychology in education, connections with educational theories and goals.
