- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the problems of transport logistics and the position of transport in logistics chains. Students will learn the basic transport legislation, characteristics of transport infrastructure, providers of transport and transportation services. The graduate of the course will be able to orientate in the market of transport and transport services, will be able to propose basic parameters of transport chains, propose a suitable mode of transport, suitable means of transport, as well as design a system of transport services in the sense of logistic approaches.
- Learning outcomes
- Graduate of the subject: - is familiar with the basic legislation in transport, - has an overview of transport infrastructure and its operation, - can describe basic and additional services provided by carriers across all modes of transport, - has an overview of the transport services provided, is oriented in the field of forwarding, has an overview of intermodal transport operators, - has an overview of logistics technologies based on transport, can apply them correctly in various transport chains, - can plan and manage transport chains optimally, plan and manage freight transport.
