Teacher's information
Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.

The official structure of the seminar paper (written as a part of the Business Management 1 course) is derived from the typically used structure of scientific papers and is as follows: title page, table of content, introduction, goal of the paper, theoretical and methodological part (literature research, hypothesis, methodological research), application part, proposal part, conclusion, literature, appendix.

The seminar paper is a scientific text. It must be at least 10 standard pages long (1 SP = 1800 characters with spaces). The title page, literature, appendix and abstract are not a part of the actual paper. The recommended number of standard pages for the paper is 15.

The student must quote at least 10 usable sources in his/her seminar paper. He/she may use the maximum of 1 script (university textbook), at least 1 source must be in a foreign language (quotations must be translated in to the Czech language). The student must use at least 2 journal studies from quotable scientific journals as well.

We recognize printed publications, scientific journals, edited volumes, statistical yearbooks, laws, etc. as usable sources. Citations and literature must be structured according to the VŠTE rules – see script VOCHOZKA, Marek, Jan VÁCHAL a Pavel ROUSEK. Metodika psaní odborných prací na VŠTE : skripta. 1. vyd. České Budějovice: Vysoká škola technická a ekonomická v Českých Budějovicích, 2012. 165 s. ISBN 978-80-7468-027-4.

The student must submit his/her seminar paper and presentation only to the submit box of the Business management 1 class. If the student already completed the Business Management 1 class at another university and got this class acknowledged, he/she must report this fact to the professor of the MOP and consult a topic for his/her seminar paper and presentation with the professor at the beginning of the semester. After the professor confirms the topic, the student then has to provide the professor with a five-page long sample of the paper during the semester. According to the evaluated sample and the instructions given by the professor, the student then finishes the seminar paper and prepares a presentation. He/she also has to electronically partake in a midterm test.

The course is also listed under the following terms winter 2016, winter 2017, winter 2019, winter 2020, summer 2021, winter 2021, winter 2022, winter 2023, winter 2024.
