- The aim of the course is to provide students with the basic knowledge from the field of sociology, and the course will be affected by a wide range of topics. From basic sociological concepts and the development of sociology and sociological paradigms, through the basics of sociological research, the course gets to the specialised disciplines such as sociology of education and the sociology of work.
After the passing of the course:
- student has an overview of the basic sociological concepts, knows the history, stages of development and paradigms in sociology
- student will acquire knowledge of pluralitách and social groups, their structure and dynamics, including the related phenomena and the accompanying processes
- student understands the interdependence between the company and its surroundings student basics of sociological research.

- Introduction to the subject of Sociology-sociology as a science of society, the subject of sociological research, sociological discipline, developmental stage of sociology
- Basic sociological paradigms, the relationship of theoretical and empirical knowledge in sociology and sociology function
- Pluralism and social groups form social groups, social categories and aggregates, the modern and the traditional communities, social groups and their characters, sorting, social groups, group structure, and related concepts (roles, status, prestige, position);
- Values, standards and monitoring in social groups, deviance and social pathology, needs and interests
- Morality, the habits, customs, religion, law, culture, fashion and lifestyle in sociological perspective
- Socialization as a lifelong process – the sphere, the contents of socialization in the development stages of man, social determinants, mechanisms of socialization
- From the perspective of Sociology of the family – the family function of socialization in the family environment, various forms of the family, Bernstein's theory of language code, theory of cultural capital
- Biological determination of man in relation to sociology, the effects of nature on the development of the company, development types of society, demographic, geographic and environmental factors, any community, city and rural sociology
- Communication as a process – elements and officials, verbal and nonverbal communication
- The foundations of sociological research and the preparation of research methodology-data collection
- The foundations of sociological research (II) – evaluation of the results of research, the conclusion of the research and the ethics of sociological research
- Sociology of education – historical context and development to the present, lifelong learning, school of sociology, sociology of knowledge
- Sociology of work and leisure – forms of work and free time from the perspective of sociology in traditional and modern society, sociology of organizations.
