Syllabus
  • 1. Manufacture of molds and cores - machinery and special ways; casting molds - gravity casting, special casting methods. 2. Stress during casting molds - mechanical, thermal and chemical stress 3. Solidification of castings - shrinkage during solidification, risering 4. Properties of liquid metals and alloys - fusibility, fluidity and fluidity, segregation. 5. Metals and alloys used in foundry and marking 6. Physical nature and mechanism of plastic deformation, the basic laws of plastic deformation, mechanical deformation schemes. 7. Derivation of the basic variables plastic strain - strain rate, deformation resistance, strength and deformation work. 8. Effect of temperature on the plastic properties of the material - hardening, recovery, recrystallization, hot forming - the area forming temperatures, heating technology metals (oxidation and decarburization). 9. The most important forming processes - forging, rolling, bending, drawing, extruding. 10. Influence of fusion welding to the base material - metallurgical happens during welding, thermal welding effect; structure welded joints - TOO weld joints in relation to the Fe-Fe3C diagram; deformation and internal stresses in welded joints, means reducing internal stresses and deformations. 11. Weldability of materials, carbon equivalent rating weldability of steel, cracks in the weld joint. 12. Submerged arc welding, electroslag welding, shielded welding, resistance welding. 13.
