Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce students to the basics of professional scientific activity and their use in the preparation of a bachelor thesis. Upon successful completion, students will be able to professionally elaborate a selected topic using their own theoretical knowledge and practical skills, literature and other sources, formulate conclusions and defend the results of their work.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
can describe and critically evaluate issues related to the topic of the qualification thesis,
can formulate the aim of the thesis and the research problem,
knows data collection techniques,
can select and apply appropriate research methods,
on the basis of the chosen research methods, be able to process and evaluate the results in the discussion,
can define the benefits of the work,
can formulate a conclusion,
can present and defend a qualification thesis.
Syllabus
Subject outline: 1. selection of the topic of the bachelor thesis, 2.-3. work with literature, formulation of objectives, 4. Collection of data and information, 5. formulation of the research problem, 6. selection of appropriate research methods, 7. citation of sources, 8.-9. application part of the thesis (results) 10. discussion of results, 11. contribution of the thesis, 12. conclusion of the thesis, 13. preparation of the presentation for the bachelor thesis defence.

The credit is registered on the basis of the following conditions: adherence to the current methodological guidelines and the current BP writing template, attendance at the consultation with the BP supervisor, a positive evaluation from the supervisor and a recommendation for the defence.
