- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The course objective is to deepen the language knowledge of the student to the B2- level according to CEFR for languages. After successful completion of the course, the student is able to understand complex texts on both common and specific topics and is able to communicate spontaneously and naturally with native speakers without big efforts. The course objective is also to teach students to express both orally and in writing their opinions related to the current topics and give advantages and disadvantages of a possible solutions.
- Learning outcomes
- Student: - understands the main ideas of even complex texts; is able to get the most important points from the professional texts related to their fields of study - is able to express their opinions in writing, using complex sentences and advanced grammar structures corresponding to the descriptors of the B2- level according to CEFR - is able to participate actively and spontaneously in the communication with a native speaker without major efforts on neither side

- Full-time form of study:
Grading of the course both for full-time students: an exam during the semester, written test in the examination period. Successful graduates of the course have to get at least 70 points (from both parts together).
Continuous evaluation:
Semester test 30 % (25 % speaking exam, 5 % written test)
Final test:
Final test using ROPOT in the IS (70 %)
Combined form of study:
Grading of the course both for part-time students: written test in the examination period. Successful graduates of the course have to get at least 70 points.

- Lessons will be a combination of prerecorded videos and powerpoint presentations accessible in the IS during the semester (45 min) and online teaching (practising, reviewing, consultations - 45 min) via MS Teams, with both video and audio recording.
