The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course objective is to deepen the language knowledge of the student to the B2- level according to CEFR for languages. After successful completion of the course student is able to understand complex texts on both common and specific topics and is able to communicate spontaneously and naturally with native speaker without major efforts. The course objective is also to teach students to express both orally and in writing their opinions related to the current topics and give advantages and disadvantages of.
Learning outcomes
Student: - understands the main ideas of even complex texts; is able to get the most important points from the professional texts related to their fields of study - is able to express their opinions in writing, using complex sentences and advanced grammar structures corresponding to the descriptors of the B2- level according to CEFR - is able to participate actively and spontaneously in the communication with a native speaker without major efforts on neither side

Exam – oral 30 %
Exam – written 70 %
Exam conditions
Full-time study: The exam consists of spoken and written examination. The spoken exam takes place during the semester, no later than the end of the semester. Students can get maximum of 30 points. Written exam consists of test written during the exam period. The maximum of points is 70. Students must get at least 70 points (written and oral part together) to pass. Part time study Only written test during the exam period. Maximum 100 points. Students must get no less than 70 points to pass.
