- The aim is to present fire prevention in buildings and construction. The aim is that the student to have a basic overview and knowledge in the field of fire protection of buildings, fire resistance of building structures, dividing the building into fire compartments, distances, escape routes, fire safety equipment, etc.
- Learning outcomes
- Students, after successful completion of this course, is able to: - define fire resistance of building structures - divide the building into fire compartments - calculate the fire distances, - dimension escape routes, etc. - suggest measures for providing fire protection at construction sites
- Syllabus
- Fire safety design of the building. The application and extent of fire safety design of the building in various stages of project documentation as defined in the Building Code and the Fire Protection Act.
- The interpretation of the CSN 73 0802 fire safety of buildings - non-manufacturing buildings. Clarification of terms, explanations of basic calculations and procedures.
- The interpretation of the CSN 73 0804 fire safety of buildings - industrial facilities. Clarification of terms, explanation of basic calculations, particularly garage.
